Jay “Sparky” Longley founded Rainbow® Sandals after experimenting with sandal-making in his Laguna Beach garage in 1972. With only $200, he bought a sewing machine and rubber, aiming to create the world's best sandal. By 2002, the company opened a corporate facility to keep up with production, eventually manufacturing over 2 million pairs annually.
